Cutting Oil
The SulFol LC-series cutting oils by oelheld have been developed specifically for applications involving chipping with geometrically defined blades. They are the ideal solution and, due to their special composition, completely up to date with latest in cutting oil technology.
In keeping with our brand concept "Human Technology – for Man, Nature and Machine", all oils in the SulFol LC-series are free from chlorine, low in aromatics and oil fumes.
Produced from highly refined base oils, the SulFol LC series is characterised by particularly good cooling, wetting and lubricating effects, which leads to a significant improvement of surface quality and tool edge life. Due to the special high performance composition, all oils within the SulFol LC-series have a high ageing resistance and an excellent viscosity and temperature performance.
Our cutting oils are categorised according to the types of machining and materials they are suitable for use with (please see below), and all come in 3-4 classes of viscosity.

SulFol LCD
Types of machining:
drilling, turning, milling, thread cutting, hobbing and partly reaming
Materials:
cast materials, machinable steel (easy and medium difficulty), non-ferrous metals, aluminium alloys and magnesium alloys
SulFol LCI
Types of machining:
drilling, turning, milling, punching and deep-drawing
Materials:
cast materials, non-alloy and alloyed heat-treated steel, nitrided steel and tool steel
The remaining oil film from SulFol LCI provides temporary corrosion protection for inside storage for several weeks!
SulFol LCO
Types of machining:
heavy chipping, deep hole drilling, reaming and honing
Materials:
high-alloyed steel, heat-treated steel, corrosion resistant steel, nitrided steel and tool steel
